Visitation at Kalamazoo County Jail

Inmate visitation can be arranged at the Visitation Center located at 1421 Healy St. The hours of visitation are Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can contact the Visitation Center at (269) 385-6048.

Inmate visitation can only be arranged at the Visitation Center. No inmate visitation is allowed on Lamont St. in the Sheriff’s Office. Visitation will not be allowed on Mondays or any day following a holiday.

The Visitation Center holds personal onsite visitations from Tuesday through Friday starting at 9:00 a.m. and following at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Visitation must be arranged by 10:00 p.m. the day prior to the visit.

Visitation can be arranged anytime online at www.gettingout.com. Identification must be verified by Telemate before you can schedule your visitation online. You can find a Telemate kiosk at the Healy St. Visitation Center. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Another location of a Telemate kiosk is at the Sheriff’s Office lobby at 1500 Lamont St and is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Telemate kiosks accept cash as well as debit and credit cards.

What to Bring:

Valid government photo identification such as a driver’s license or State ID is required along with a correct address when signing up for visitation. Visitation is based on a “first come, first served” basis and subject to cancellation if an inmate is currently participating in another program at the time. Once the visitor is notified he or she can choose to reschedule their visit for another time.

The rules and regulations for visitation are as follows:

  • Cell phones prohibited in the Visitation Center lobby or visitation rooms
  • No written communication between the visitor and inmate during the visitation
  • Visitors will be dressed in an acceptable manner always (clothing is not to be revealing or offensive in any manner)
  • All visits are subject to recording and monitoring always
  • No Children under the age of 12 are allowed in the visitation room (All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult while visiting the Visitation Center)
  • No food or drink is permitted in the Visitation Center
  • Absolutely NO PICTURES OR VIDEO may be taken while in the Visitation Center
