This is an alternative to getting attention for negative behavior and gives the student an opportunity to be rewarded for good behavior and following the rules of the facility. Staff evaluates every occupant on an hourly basis and gives them an opportunity to earn points. These points go towards specific rewards and recognition for the occupant. All departments of the facility are responsible for rewarding good behavior including school and food services.  The facility stresses good behavior including respect for authority, respect for peers and respect for the institution. Another big area they try to stress appropriate behavior is during recreation. This is an area of the facility that is hard to keep under control so rewarding good behavior is a priority in this location. Only occupants that are in general population are eligible to earn points. If the occupant is in isolation they are not eligible to earn any points or rewards.
